Panther Games Sunday 12/19

Help is still needed for the next event at Bank of America stadium - the Panthers v/s Arizona Cardinals on 12/19. Please go to www.fortmillbands.com, click on ‘Panthers Schedule’ on the left, scroll down and click the ‘12/12' or '12/19' volunteer button.  All scheduled games are on the web site and you can sign up for any of them listed.

2010 COLD WEATHER GUIDELINES!!!

We just received the updated 2010 cold weather guidelines - 2010 BOA Stadium Cold Weather Guidelines (will open in a new window). It is more specific than last year’s list so please follow it closely. They will start deducting for uniform violations now that their list has been sent.

Most importantly… layer solid black (not white) clothing under the blue Pepsi polo that they give us to wear. You can wear long-sleeved black shirts, turtlenecks or sweatshirts, but they can’t have any design, stripes or sports logos on them. Examples include Under Armor (or like) shirt and a black turtleneck under the Pepsi shirt. Some volunteers have found 2 layers work well for the temperatures we’ve had lately. You are not allowed to wear jackets or anything over the Pepsi shirt, so layer.

No scarves, hats or gloves are allowed to be worn when working in the stand, but I was able to get a slight exception for us. Gloves cannot be worn when serving food or drink and hands should be clean at all times. When the gloves are not being worn, please do not put them on the counters. If you can’t put them in a pocket, hand them to a runner to take to the back room.

We want to be as comfortable as possible and stay within guidelines for these last 5 events to work this year. Also remember black or khaki pants and closed-toed, comfortable shoes for the day’s work, a single pair of stud earrings for women; none for men and hair pulled away from the face.

Good news on the belt requirement too… Since we are layering up and since we all wear the apron that covers our front and sides, we do not have to wear a belt during these winter months!!  Pants should not be ultra baggy or ultra tight though.
