What do you think of having other people help pay for your high school student’s band fees? Sound enticing? Here’s how this can happen. Sell Citipass books to your family’s friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers and friends of friends. For every book sold, your student’s band fee account will be reduced by $8 and your student’s high school band receives $4.50 to help pay for band costs such as competitions, props, and yes, even food for your student!

 

This past Thursday night, your student received three (3) 2011 Citipass books for your family to sell. If every student’s family in each band sells the  minimum number of books (3), each student’s fees will be reduced by $24 and each band will receive approximately $2,000 to help cover band costs. Of course, the more books sold, the more money is applied to your student’s band fee account ($8 per book) and available for your student’s band ($4.50 per book).

 

After turning in the money for the books your family has received previously, you may get more books to sell by putting a note containing your book request in the Citipass box located in your student’s band room.  You may also send an email to couponbooks@comporium.net, or ask the Citipass volunteer standing by your band’s Citipass box after band practice. Be sure to include your student’s name, high school (FMHS or NFHS), and the number of desired books.  You may also get extra books by contacting NFHS’s Julie Howren jhowren@comporium.net or FMHS’s Michele Henderson mchenderson@comporium.net.

 

As soon as you sell your books, please put your Citipass money in an sealed envelope with your student’s name on the outside of the envelope. The sealed envelope should be placed in the Citipass box in your student’s band room. Citipass Committee members will check the Citipass box daily for  money, requests for more books and unsold books. All Citipass money and unsold books must be returned to the Citipass box in your student’s band room on or before September 14^th. 

 

Two more things. Your family receives a FREE Citipass book for every five (5) books sold and each high school’s top Citipass seller will receive a $50 Visa gift card.
