UPDATE - Due to conditions at the Springfield golf course, the tournament has moved locations across town to the Fort Mill Golf Club. The date and time are still the same. We still have plenty of room for golfers so please contact us if you still want to submit a team.

 

The annual Fort Mill District Band Golf Tournament is scheduled for July and we are looking sponsors and golfers in order to ensure a successful and profitable event!!!

Planning for this year’s golf tournament is in full swing. The tournament is scheduled to be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Springfield Golf Club in Fort Mill, South Carolina. All net proceeds from this event will go to the instrumental music students needs in the Fort Mill Area. The students are dedicated, hard-working and gifted and they need your help to keep the band program performing at the highest levels. Please spread the word about the golf tournament.

What do we need from you? We need sponsors and golfers and that is where everyone can help.

The cost to participate in the tournament is $500 for foursomes and $125 for individuals. We are also looking for businesses to help sponsor the event and we offer a wide variety of levels such as Title, Hole-In-One, Bag Tag, Driving Range, Longest Drive and Individual Hole sponsors each with different benefits and costs. Does a business want to do something different? That's quite alright - let's find out how they would like to contribute and assist. Any type of donation will be accepted - hats, shirts, gift certificates, golf balls, food, etc.

Just like last year, families will earn student credit points (amounts vary based upon type of sponsor received) similar to working at the Verizon or other fundraising events that can be used to pay for band fees, trips, etc. Point awards are as follows:

• Eagle Sponsorship for $3,500 - 40 points or $80

• Birdie Sponsorship for $2,000 - 25 points or $50

• Par Sponsorship for $1,000 - 25 points or $50

• Hole-In-One Sponsorship for $600 - 15 points or $30

• Bag Tag Sponsorship for $500 - 15 points or $30

• Driving Range Sponsorship for $300 - 10 points or $20

• Longest Drive Sponsorship (2) for $200 - 10 points or $20

• Closest to Pin Sponsorship (5) for $200 - 10 points or $20

• Hole Sponsorship for $100 - 10 points or $20

• Foursomes for $500 - 5 points or $10

• Individuals for $125 - 2 points or $4
