A total of 12 members of the Fort Mill HS and Nation Ford HS bands that earned seats in the 2010 Charlotte Youth Wind Ensemble (CYWE) will perform in the first of three concerts this Wednesday February 17. The performance will begin at 7:30 pm and will be held at UNC-Charlotte Robinson Hall of Performing Arts on the UNCC campus in Charlotte, NC. On Thursday February 18, the Nation Ford High School Band will be recognized for their state championship at the South Caroline State Capital. Ask your student about specific trip information.

 

The Fort Mill HS Winter Percussion Ensemble and the Fort Mill HS Winter Guard Program will perform Saturday, February 20 at the CWEA competition at North Davidson HS in Lexington, NC. The Percussion Ensemble will take the floor first at 5:47 pm with the Winter Guard performing at 7:06 pm - awards are at 7:45 pm. Several students from both high schools will be traveling to the University of South Carolina in Columbia from Thursday February 18 thru Sunday February 21 to participate in the 2010 USC Band Clinic. The Nation Ford High School Band will be recognized for their 2009 state marching band championship at this Monday's Fort Mill School District Board Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Nation Ford High School Auditorium on Monday, February 22 at 6:00 pm. Monday, February 22 are also the monthly booster club meetings for both high schools in their respective band rooms starting at 7:30 pm.
