After taking several years off, the Fort Mill High School band returned to Bands of America competition this past weekend in Massillon, Ohio and came back home with a 2nd place overall finish.

 

In prelim competitions, the band earned 2nd place in Class AA competition and, with a great finals draw, was the final band of the evening to perform their show during the finals session at 10 pm. During finals competition and despite the rather cold weather, the band earned a 2nd place overall finish including Outstanding General Effect for the evening.

This weekend, the band will stay in South Carolina and travel to Boiling Springs for the SCBDA 4A Upper State Marching Band Championships - performance time is 9:45 pm.
