UPDATE FROM THE PANTHERS

Uniforms

Now that we have (2) games behind, we feel everyone should be well aware of the uniform policy and guidelines. Therefore, we will start uniform deductions with this game. As always there are still volunteers that violate these guidelines and when they are approached by SF&B staff they tell us they were never told about the uniform guidelines. Please enforce these guidelines with all of your volunteers.
Just a few of the most common uniform violations:

  • Short Shorts (Shorts must be an inch above the knee or longer.)

  • Flip Flops (Volunteers will be turned away from check-in if they show up in flip flops.)

  • Earrings on men/ Too large of earrings on women (Men may not wear earrings and women must not wear anything larger than a small stud/hoop.)

  • Jeans (No denim allowed- must wear black or khaki pants.)

Check-In Procedures

When checking in on a game day, your volunteers should always check-in under their own name. We have noticed that the volunteers that may be “filling in” for someone are receiving a credential under that person’s name instead of their own. Please inform your volunteers that if they are “filling in” for a volunteer who may be sick or called off for the day, that they should just inform the check-in staff of their own actual name and have them write it on the list.

This is important for several reasons but remind them that if they don’t check-in under their name, they will not receive credit as being here and therefore could lose out on the end of season perfect attendance bonus. (Remember, this bonus is not a guarantee but I think most volunteers can agree that they would want to make sure there is no discrepancy if we do give these out again this season). It is also important for us to have accurate documentation of those who are in the building if we have any security issues.

Contest

The Incentive contest starts with this weekend’s game! GOOD LUCK to all groups!

Staffing

We want to say THANK YOU to everyone for working so hard to fully staff your stands/vending rooms this season! You are off to an amazing start- let’s keep it up as we roll into the regular season. We know it isn’t always easy to find volunteers, especially for the Thursday night games but you all did a great job!

Other Reminders -

  • Gate check-in starts at 9 am and ends at 11 am

  • Only car pools will be allowed to park in Penman lot

  • Cargo pockets are ok

  • Car poolers - don't forget to turn in stub for the lottery

  • TIPS training is not required but you must be 18 or older AND not a student to work a window

  • Questions? Please visit www.stadiumfoodandbeverage.com

  • Please check the sign-up sheet - click "Panther Schedule" on lower left of webpage - and verify your name is on the list. Not on list but should? Please contact Steve Turner or Theresa Parker - email addresses below.

Some of the basics:

  1. Dress code:

    • ONLY black or khaki shorts/slacks. If they have belt loops, a belt must be worn. Shorts must be no more than one inch above the knee.

    • Closed toe/closed heel shoes are required. This means no clogs, no crocs, no sandals.

    • Do not wear any items with the logo of any NFL team other than the Panthers, or any item with a college logo. You will be turned away.

    • We will have shirts and visors at the booth for you to wear.

  2. Car pools:

    • The Panthers have a game-day parking lot on Penman St. It holds 500 cars; there are 2000 game day employees. CARPOOLING IS CRITICAL. The Panthers provide a shuttle to and from the stadium before and after games.

    • On all non-Sunday games, this lot will be designated as "carpool-only". Individuals will need to park elsewhere.

    • Saturday, everyone interested in carpooling meet at the Food Lion parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 160 and Gold Hill Rd. Until we come up with a more central location, we will continue to meet here. Carpools should leave at least 45 minutes before sign-in time to allow time to get to the stadium.

    • If you choose to take the light rail in, get off at Stonewall St. and walk to the stadium.

  3. Sign-in time:

    • You should sign in two hours before gates open in order to have the stand ready; GATES OPEN TWO HOURS BEFORE GAME TIME.

    • Under 18? You must bring a proof of birth date - permit, license, state id, copy of birth certificate, etc. - with you in order to sign in.

    • ONCE GATES OPEN, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SIGN IN.

These are just some of the basics.  Please visit the website at www.stadiumfoodandbeverage.com - will open in new window - for full details. A good place to start would be to click on "General Game Day Info" -- this has directions for entering the stadium, dress code info, and parking lot info.  We are in stand #506 (500 level).

Sign-up is available through the band website -- see the "Panthers info" and "Panthers schedule" buttons on the left - or see instructions below. We are also looking for leaders to handle deposits and control inventory; please indicate your interest when signing up.  If you have further questions or have problems signing up, please feel free to contact Theresa Parker (tparker@superiorconstruction.com) or Steve Turner (sjl_turner@comporium.net).

How to sign up for an event at Bank of America stadium?

  • Go to the band website, click on the "Panther Schedule" selection on the lower left side of the page or top of this page. This brings up a sheet showing all sign-up events: first column tells when the gates open, time of event, and where to park. Second column gives the event name; third column gives additional info. Fourth column lets you select the event you want to sign up for, and the fifth column will take you to a roster for each event - once the page opens, click on the event from the selections at the top of the page. But let's go back to the fourth column...

  • Click on the blue button for the event you want to work. This will open up an email form, addressed to bandvolunteer@comporium.net, and fill in the blanks.

  • Move the cursor down and enter the school (NFHS, FMHS). Then move your cursor down to the blank space after Name 1, and type in your first name. The column will automatically widen. Then move the cursor over, enter a "Y" if you're 18 and older or "N" if not; then move over and enter "Y" if name 1 is a student, "N" if not. Repeat for any additional names.

  • If you want to carpool, enter "Y" where prompted.

  • Then enter any additional comments or info as needed.

  • That's it! Now - click "send" and you're done.

  • Once this is received, one of our volunteers will reply confirming you for the event. You will then see your name, and anyone else you signed up, on the roster for the corresponding event.

  • Don't receive a confirmation? Either resubmit your request or contact Steve Turner or Theresa Parker - email addresses above.

Thank you for your support!  And thanks to every volunteer who has stepped up to make this happen so that EVERYONE can benefit!
