The South Carolina State Concert Festival is now upon us which brings an opportunity for the students of the Fort Mill School District to show off their musical talents. Please feel free to attend the concerts since the students love to see parents and supporters in the crowd rather than just the few judges. if you are planning to attend, please arrive a few minutes early in order to not miss the performance. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, April 1st

Springfield Middle School - 1:30 pm at Lugoff-Elgin HS - Lugoff, SC

10:00 am - After 1st block, report to band room for music review and loading

11:15 am - Snack lunch

11:45 am - Dress in uniform

12:15 pm - Depart for South Pointe HS

1:00 pm - Arrive at South Pointe HS

1:30 pm - Warm-up

2:00 pm - Performance (open to the public)

2:30 pm - Sight Reading (not open to the public)

3:00 pm - Picture

3:30 pm - Listen to other bands

4:45 pm - Load buses and depart for NFHS

5:30 pm - Arrive at NFHS

Fort Mill High School Detail Schedule for the Day - Thursday, April 2nd

Come to school in concert attire. Ladies, bring a coat or covering in case it is cool. Gentlemen bring a garment bag to keep your jacket in unless you plan to wear it all day.

10:00 am - Everyone report to the band room for a run through of both programs

11:15 am - Load percussion equipment and instruments on buses

11:30 am - Depart FMHS

11:45 am - Eat lunch on your own at Taco Bell, McDonalds, etc.

12:45 pm - Depart for South Pointe HS

1:15 pm - Arrive at South Pointe HS and unload all equipment and instruments. The buses will return to Fort Mill after dropping you off so leave nothing on the bus. The buses will return to pick you up after the ratings announcement.

2:00 pm - Concert Band Warm-up

2:30 pm - Concert Band Performance (open to the public)

3:00 pm - Concert Band Sight Reading (not open to the public)

3:30 pm - Concert Band Picture

4:10 pm - Wind Symphony Warm-up

4:40 pm - Wind Symphony Performance (open to the public)

5:15 pm - Wind Symphony Sight Reading (not open to the public)

5:50 pm - Wind Symphony Picture

6:30 pm - Ratings announcement

7:15 pm - Arrive at FMHS
